Senior Pastor
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Quentin Petties was raised on the Westside of Chicago and received his primary education in the public school system. He was a member of the W.E.C.E.P. (Work Experience Career Exploration Program) and received his first job at McDonalds Corporation at the age of 13. He was accepted in the I.Y.O.C. (Illinois Youth on Campus) program and obtained High School and College credits while attending several Classes at the Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. He graduated from Proviso West High School in Hillside, IL in 3 years, obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Rust College a Historical Black College founded in 1866, studied aboard at University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana West Africa, and attended Moody Bible Institute for 2 years.
Quentin is an individual with a God given anointing who is sought out to preach and teach to masses with his charismatic simplistic approach. He is concerned about the total man and able to reach the heart of the matter. After wrestling for more than 5 years Quentin surrendered to the divine will of God by answering the call to organize and become the Sr. Pastor of Destiny Changers Christian Fellowship Inc.
Sr, Pastor Quentin Petties is the husband of one wife; Lady Maliya D. Petties esq, Father of three; Nya, Immanuel, and Jeremiah and Godfather of 5 boys and 3 girls, a mentor and friend to many.

Dr. Kerrick J. nevels sr.
Associate Pastor
Kerrick Nevels, son of Huntley and Barbara Nevels, and grandson of the late R. H. and Modena Hicks, Hattie Williams, and Hunley Leach, is blessed with a loving wife, Tina, who is not only his best friend but also his biggest supporter. Together, they cherish their four beautiful children: Kaeley Brielle, Kerrick Javon II, Keira Elise, and Khristian Micah.
Kerrick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and General Science Education from Rust College in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and earned his doctorate in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. With a passion for education, Kerrick has taught high school science in both Maryland and Mississippi and has served as an Assistant Professor at William Carey University and adjunct professor at MVSU.
Currently, he is engaged in financial services. Alongside his professional endeavors, Kerrick serves as the pastor of two esteemed churches, Brooklyn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and Strangers’ Home Missionary Baptist Church, both located in Greenwood.
Pastor Nevels is deeply committed to worshiping God authentically, teaching and preaching the Gospel, nurturing individuals towards wholeness, and fostering closer familial bonds with God and one another. Firmly rooted in the belief in the power of prayer and the greatness of God, Kerrick exemplifies a life dedicated to serving others and glorifying the Almighty.
